Rodeo
After soccer, or futbol, as its called, the second most popular sport is the rodeo. It is can be seen in rural areas just outside of the cities, and was declared a national sport in 1962. In the Chilean rodeos two horseback riders circle the arena and try to stop a calf. The team riders are called a collera.
Ramon Cardemil is considered the sports greatest rider. Throughout his career he won the national title seven times.
