What A Game?
Monday, November 27th, 2006The Bedlam game was another one to remember.
It came down the final play again, and OU was able to continue their remarkable season. Now for OU, the Big XII Championship game where they will face Nebraska for a BCS bowl berth in the Fiesta Bowl. It should be a good game but I think OU’s defense will be too much for Nebraska to handle. For OSU, it was a good season because they gained valuable experience that they can carry into next year. They should receive and invitation to the Independence Bowl or the Texas Bowl and should win the came they go to. Note: The year before OU’s National Championship in 2000, they went to the Independence Bowl and lost to Mississippi.
be playing in the Texas Bowl in Houston and that’s not that bad at all. Best case scenario is that the Cowboys beat Texas Tech and Oklahoma and end up in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. The bowls in between that they could end up in are the Sun Bowl in El Paso and the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA. All in all, this has been a good season that has only given the young Cowboys experience going into next year where I look for them to make a run at the Cotton Bowl and Holiday Bowl.
road. Bobby Reid finally looks like the quarterback we all expected to see when he was signed and Adarius Bowman has looked a lot better then what we expected with 13 catches for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns against Kansas.
The defense played pretty well even though they gave up two touchdowns toward the end of the game pretty much after it was over. In my opinion the Cowboys will be in every game they play the rest of the season and winning this game should give them confidence to get the job done. I look for them to win every game the rest of the season except Texas and OU which will put them at 8-4 and 5-3 in conference.
Bobby Reid looking like Vince Young. He distributed the ball well to both D’Jaun and Adarius but the defense was really exposed to an above average but not great offense in Houston. They have a bye week before they open conference play and should win the first two games in Kansas and Kansas State but if they don’t figure out what they’re doing on defense, it will be another long season in Stillwater.
