Big XII Power Rankings Vol. 5
Power Rankings-Description down to six, List to twelve.
1. Oklahoma-After a 3-2 start, the Sooner’s have won 5 in a row and are rolling down hill with solid defense and an outstanding running game. Look for them to beat Baylor this weekend before Bedlam, where anything can happen.
2. Texas-No Colt McCoy, no win. I guess Colt McCoy is a bigger part of the offense than thought by most people and when he went down against Kansas State, so did National title hopes. They still have a chance to salvage the season with a win against Texas A&M for the Big XII South title.
3. Nebraska-I am now willing to put Nebraska in the Big XII elite with Texas and Oklahoma after a one point win on the road against Texas A&M which is a tough place to play. Now, they really have a chance to prove themselves in the Big XII title game with a win and a BCS birth for the first time since 1997.
4. Texas A&M-Tough season for the Aggie’s with back-to-back one point loses at home. They have a bye week and then have to go to Texas and they have to win to salvage their season.
5. Kansas State-I had this team last at one point during the season, but they have really grown up and they showed it on National television beating Texas. They have a good, young team and should challenge for the Big XII North next year.
6. Oklahoma State-The Cowboys became bowl elgible with a convincing win against Baylor but still have two tough games left. If they could go 1-1, then that’s a great season going into next year.
7. Missouri
8. Texas Tech
9. Baylor
10. Kansas
11. Colorado
12. Iowa State
