Big XII Power Rankings Vol. 4

promo_big12_mfb3.jpgPower Rankings-Description down to six, List to twelve.

1. Texas-No explanation really needed here because they have met every challenge this year. Colt McCoy’s the real deal and should be a Heisman contender if he wasn’t a freshman and the fact he is, is a scary thing to think about for the rest of the Big XII over the next four years.

2. Oklahoma-After losing A.D., they have come out with something to prove and that’s just what they have done, winning three in a row with two of them being on the road.

3. Texas A&M-A loss by one point to a good Oklahoma team is no reason to be penalized and they won’t be for now. They get Nebraska at home this week and a loss in this game is unacceptable if they really want to be considered in the upper level of the Big XII.

4. Nebraska-They won the North championship this weekend when they put a hurting on rival Missouri. Just like I said about Texas A&M, a loss in this game should be unacceptable if they really want to be with the elite teams in the Big XII. The winner of this game proves that they belong and the loser gets to hang out with the pretenders.

5. Texas Tech-This is where the Big XII drops off and a team like this is in this spot by default. It’s been a disappointing season for Mike Leach and his team but can prove a lot in the next two weeks with both Oklahoma schools but expect only one win if that.

6. Missouri-After a great start, this team has really come back down to Earth but next year is the year for this team with a lot of starters returning. It’s been a good season for gaining experience but really wasn’t supposed to compete and have done a good job.

7. Baylor

8. Oklahoma State

9. Kansas State

10. Kansas

11. Colorado

12. Iowa State
