Big XII Power Rankings Vol. 2
Power Rankings: Description down to six, then list to twelve.
1. Texas- After dominating Oklahoma in the second half of the Red Rivalry Shootout, they didn’t let down and beat a decent Baylor team. They have to head to Nebraska this week for the Cornhusker’s homecoming. If they win this, they should win out and be in the hunt for the National Title.
2. Nebraska- Don’t get me wrong, the Cornhusker’s are a solid team but jump up here because everybody else has lost. They really get a chance to prove themselves just like the Sooner’s but expect the same result.
3. Missouri- They should be #2 if they had a coach who knew what he was doing but they did lose at Texas A&M. They get Kansas State this weekend before hosting the Sooner’s in two weeks.
4. Oklahoma- With Adrian Peterson out, they should drop a couple spots but I’m one to wait until things play out so until they lose, which could be every game from here on out, they will only move up. They get Colorado this weekend to get ready for life without AD, then a serious test at Missouri in two weeks.
5. Texas A&M- They are one of those teams that don’t beat themselves. They run the ball down your throat and play great defense in the red zone. They go to Oklahoma State for the Cowboy’s homecoming this weekend and this game will pretty much define their season.
6. Oklahoma State- Finally gained that road victory they needed to jump start the season. If they ever show up for a whole game, they would be really hard to beat. Because of that inconsistency, they are #6 with a good chance of moving up with a win against Texas A&M this weekend for homecoming.
7. Iowa State
8. Texas Tech
9. Kansas State
10. Baylor
11. Colorado
12. Kansas
