Incubus!
So I know I said this site was dedicated to the undiscovered and not so mainstream, but I have been in love with the popular alternative band Incubus for a long time. They might be a mainstream band but are not too overplayed. They are still respected by the underground musicians, but also get there love on the radio as well. I was front row at one of their concerts and it was one of the most entertaining shows I have been to. The lead singer, Brandon Boyd, has an amazing live voice.
Incubus has a new album, Light Grenades, that will be out on Nov. 28th, 2006. I have heard some of the tracks from this album and I have to say this could be one of their best. It sounds a lot like there older stuff. They ventured out a bit on their last album, A Crow Left of the Murder. It got mixed reviews, but I still loved it.
The song to listen to on this next album would be ‘Dig’, which is very reminiscent of some songs of one of their most popular albums, Morning View. Boyd holds out some amazing notes on this one!
If you haven’t really gotten into Incubus in the past, I encourage you to really check out this album. It looks to be different, but still Incubus!
