I have created two of three posters for the final project in 2D foundation class, which are “place” and “memory.”

One on the top is the “place” poster. The idea of using sip glasses came at the top of my head. I bought some of them on the trips, and others are souveniers. The color combination of green, yellow and purple is based on the Color Theory that I talked about the other day.

Introduction to Hagoita

It is getting closer to the end of this year. Many of you may be thinking about Christmans and following excitements over the New Year holidays.

Today, I will introduce you the beautiful wooden paddles, Hagoita, that are always loved by Japanese as the New Year ornaments.

Playing with Photoshop 2

The final project in 2D foundation class is to create three posters each of which should be created under the theme of “place,” “memory” or “body.” The picture above is just a practice I did in the last class. It is a little bit too dark although I personally love atmosphere of this kind. I will post later tonight the posters I am going to turn in as my final project.

Color Balance Theory

complimentary colors

I learned the other day, in 2D foundation class, that colors can be categorized based on the types of hue and saturation. It is amazing that a combination of the colors makes a totally different impression from others.

Introduction to Japanese Tea Set

Do you like drinking hot cocoa or coffee around this time in November?

Well, if you do, you might want to consider about putting on your list this Japanese tea that I am going to introduce today.

Powdered green tea is presented in tea ceremonies often held in spring and has entertained people with its traditional taste.
