Goodbye College

April 25th, 2006

Well I just went to my official last college class of my life. Now it’s only final exams that’s holding me back. I still have no job, so come the end of May you may find me living in a cardboard box on the Strip somewhere. Goodbye my fun college life. Goodbye classes and homework forever. Goodbye drinking and the bar scene. Well maybe this last one won’t change, I forsee that one sticking around for quite sometime. Goodbye my tiny apartment just off of greek row. Goodbye friends new and old. Goodbye Boone State. Goodbye Stillwater. Adios.

FADA

April 20th, 2006

What is FADA you ask? Well FADA stands for Friday Afternoon Drinking Association. Every Friday afternoon me and my friends get together and start drinking earlier than usual. Tomorrow we are meeting at 5:30 over at Roosters for happy hour.

Now as you can tell it’s a very prestigious and elite group. It requires initiation and regular attendance of meetings. Ha ha, not really. If you want to be in FADA just show up and start drinking and you’re in. But I’m not gonna lie we just might haze you by forcing you to take an undisclosed amount of shots or bonging five beers at once. But once you get past that, you’ll be a regular. You should join us, we always have a great time no matter where we are at. I’m gonna try and make it all night and close down Murphys, anybody else in?

VOTE!

April 20th, 2006

Tonight at 5:30 there will be free pizza for Ad Club members at the Hideaway. And we will be having elections for our president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. My friends Danielle and James are running for president and vp! So come vote and eat some free Hideaway pizza!

Corpus Christi Here We Come

April 20th, 2006

Well the AAF team will making our way down to Corpus Christi to present our ad campaign in the district competition. We’ve all been working very hard on this for two semesters. So we are very excited about it finally being done and getting to present it to the judges. After that it will be a huge weight lifted off all of our shoulders. Unless of course we win the district competition (which we are so gonna do) and then get to go to the national competition in San Fransico. I’ll be taking Jack (our garden gnome) down there with us as our mascot. (inside joke) And our hotel is right on the beach so I will be jumping into the ocean at some point on the trip. Wish us luck, me, Erika and Scott are all on the team.

Final Projects

April 20th, 2006

It’s that time of the semester again where all final projects are due soon. I still have a lot of work to do in three different classes. I’m designing a self promotion poster for the Graphic Communications class. I’m making it into an 80s rock tour theme. I’m really liking it so far, but it has a long way to go. I’m really pumped about graduating and not having to do anymore homework or studying. I’m also excited about getting to have a normal social life once again. Maybe I’ll actually have time to get to go visit all my friends back in Tulsa now. I think a few of them are coming to my graduation so that will be a lot of fun going out to the bars with them afterward. Hey maybe my grandma will even join us! Just kidding.

Oh May 6th you could not get here sooner.

Please Hire Me!

April 18th, 2006

Well I’ve been sending out my resume to a few places. But today I sent it to a place that I would really like to work at. So keep your fingers crossed and hope I get this. Because come mid-May I will no longer have the job I have now and I will be poor and quite possibly homeless come the end of May. Hire me! Hire me! Hire me! Please?

The Library Fountain

April 18th, 2006

You know how there are those certain “crazy” things that you want to do before you graduate? Well I accomplished one of mine this past weekend. I’ve always thought it would be funny to go with a group of friends and jump in the fountain in front of the library and swim in it. Well, I did it. And we had so much fun laughing at ourselves. So now every time I walk by the library I’m reminded of the blast me and my friends all had that night. And I giggle to myself, thinking “ha ha I’ve been in there.”

This is another thing that I recommend you do. 2am on a Saturday night…..no ones around. :)

My NASCAR Weekend

April 18th, 2006

Well my friends, a couple of weekends ago I went down to Texas Motor Speedway for the big NASCAR race. It was actually a lot of fun, besides getting sunburned. We got there late Friday afternoon and there were already so many people there, traffic was horrible. That night the infield turned into this huge party. I was shocked at how crazy it all got, imagine Mardi Gras and Spring Break combined into one. Yeah, thats NASCAR…. Saturday morning we woke up and walked around for awhile, then we got Pit Passes to go down to Pit Road when the drivers were practicing. That was really cool because I was literally only like 5 feet away from Dale Jr., Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon, and all the other drivers. That night it turned into an even bigger party than the night before. It was insane! I had so much fun! I met these cajun guys and one was dressed like a doctor in full scrubs and had an IV filled with Crown Royal. All I could say was “Wow!” Sunday was the big race, me and my friend went up into the stands to watch it. The driver that we were wanting to win, won the race!

I recommend that if you get the chance to go to a NASCAR race you should totally go. I wasn’t really into that stuff, but I went anyway and had so much fun. Its a really cool experience, and you’ll get to see lots of mullets!

NASCAR

April 6th, 2006

Yup, that’s right I’m going down to Texas Motor Speedway tomorrow for the big race on Sunday. I’m going mullet hunting! I’m going with my friend Kelsey, and we somehow managed to score infield tickets, so we’ll be sleeping in RVs and tents in the middle of the track. We also know someone that is going to give us Pit Passes into the garage where all the cars and drivers are. I’m really not into NASCAR but my friend talked me into going and it sounds pretty cool and a lot of fun. I figured I can sacrifice at least one weekend of being a “Redneck.” I’ve got my wifebeater and trucker hat ready to go. Just kidding, or am I? You will probably see me next Tuesday sunburned with a farmers tan, maybe another blackeye, or quite possibly a new hairstyle….the mullet.

My Birthday Weekend

April 4th, 2006

Well, my interview went really well on Friday morning. After that I went over to my brothers place and he took me out for lunch, then we just hung out for awhile. Later that night I met up with a bunch of my friends in Bricktown for dinner and a night out at the bars. We all had so much fun! Saturday night me and my friend went to the Caroline’s Spine show at Joes. It was a pretty good show. When I got home that night I got into a fight with my doorframe and I now have a blackeye, but thats an entirely different story. Sunday I drove to Tulsa to have dinner with my parents. All in all, besides the eye, it was a really good weekend.

This next weekend I’m going with my boss to the NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway. Yeah, I’m gonna go mullet hunting! This is not something that I would normally do, but you can’t knock it until you try it right? Oh well it should be a good time regardless.
